We are only accepting submissions from Chicago-based residents at the moment.
What specific incident of police violence in Chicago will your work be focusing on? *

What medium will you be using? *

We are accepting paintings, mixed media, sculpture, ceramics, photography, audio/video, and installation-based work.
Please submit your proposal for your piece of work. Proposal should include the specific incident your artwork is focusing on, what draws you to submit, any articles or references to the specific incident (if not on our list), your vision for the artwork, and how you will complete this artwork by the end of the year. Please submit in PDF format, and no longer than 500 words. Include your name & contact at the top of the document. *

If your piece of artwork is already completed, please email us at with 3-4 image attachments (JPGs) of your artwork. Images should be 300dpi and at least 900 pixels wide or high. Please name the image files as follows: Title of Work, medium(s) used, dimensions.
Please provide an artist statement and/or bio (not a CV). File should be in PDF format and no longer than 200 words. *

Please help us determine who is submitting artwork to our exhibition by letting us know how you identify. This will help us ensure we are reaching out to directly-impacted communities. This information will stay private within our curatorial team and is entirely optional.
